Exhibition booths set up by various ministries of the Parish of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, KL.
Exhibition booths on 28 & 29 October. Among the ministry was PIHDM. We had AOHD representatives from the Prison & Migrant ministry who came and supported our parish and had great conversations with parishioners for a better understanding of our ministries. Stephen K (Prison Ministry), Josephine Tey (Migrant Ministry) & Adira Galusin (Project Manager) from AOHD supported the team.
The other ministry that shared their works was also the Family Life Ministry. This ministry consists of the Young Married Couple, Marriage Encounter, and Catholic Marriage Preparation Course where the team clubbed together to guide Catholic family life.
The Chinese and Tamil Apostolate set up booths and undertook many interesting activities. At the Tamil Apostolate, the Rangoli Kolam coloring competition attracted many young people to come and check out the ministry’s booth. Many who came to visit the ministry’s booths were more aware of their mission and contribution to the community and church.
The Family Life Ministry booth was set up on 29 Oct 2023 in the hope of bringing awareness of the various programs and activities available within the Parish and The Archdiocese of KL for the benefit of all family life.
Activities and programs exhibited with materials, books, and photographs are as follows:-
1) For Youth – Choice & Catholic Marriage Preparation Course ( 7 weeks & weekend CMPC)
2) For Married Couples – Young Married Couples (YMC), Marriage Encounter (ME), Evening for Couples (EfC), and Retrouvaille;
3) For Parents – Evening For Parents (EfP);
4) Special Program – Theology of The Body (TOB), Rachel’s Vineyard, & 5 Languages of Love.
The core team members of the various support groups within the Parish FLM are delighted to have this opportunity to showcase the importance of FLM within the parish which has been set up for more than 20 years.
From such activities, we hope that more parishioners will come forward to serve in one way or another for the betterment of the community and God’s kingdom.
