On 2 February 2022, SHC parishioners celebrated the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord. The tradition of blessing of candles use to be held during this feast day which is also known as Candlemass.
Parishioners brought their bundles of candles to be blessed. Before the mass commence, Fr Stanislaus blessed the candles which was placed at the entrance of the church.
In his sermon, Fr Stan emphasized the message of Mary, the Mother of the Lord who presented and sacrifices Jesus for us humankind for us to live. We too should sacrifice for the good of others for the glory of the kingdom of God.
