The jogathon organized by SSVP received parishioners tremendous support.
Many parishioners have come together early on Saturday morning to participate in a Jogathon organized by the St. Vincent de Paul Society of the parish in aid of the Good Health Dialysis Centre here on 21st October 2023. 82 participants in a total of the 8 categories were among those who competed to win the 5 prizes prepared for each category. Among the categories were, Primary school children (girls and boys) aged 7 onwards and Secondary school children (girls and boys) aged 13 onwards; who ran for a 1.3 km distance. The adult categories were; Senior Men, Senior Women, Men Open, and Women Open who ran for 3.3 km whereas the other categories took part. This event was also part of the Parish Community Month which is ongoing the whole month of October 2023 in the parish of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, KL. The SSVP members and the other volunteers involved were delighted with the turnover of the participants and the community spirit among the parishioners. Special thanks to all others who were involved; the Marshalls – who were in control of the timing and results checking, the Secret Recipe team – for preparing delicious breakfast, the Rela and PDRM – who coordinated the roads, the St. John Ambulance – who assisted on the medical help and many others who helped out around the church to make this event a successful one.
