In a message from Pope Francis, he is addressing this Message to all children, everywhere, are a sign of every person’s desire to grow and flourish.
Thus, in conjunction with the First World Day of Children, the SHJ Migrant Ministry co-organized with the Great British Circus on 26th May 2024 at IOI Mall, Puchong. There was a total of 88 children and 15 adults had free tickets for 8.30pm show.
17 Orang Asli children and 61 Myanmar children (Dai, Mara, Karchin & Mindat) participated in this event. 3 buses and 2 vans to cater all of them from various locations and dinner was sponsored by Mr. Joseph Soosainathan.
The children were surprised and enjoyed the circus a lot because it was their first-time experience. They have never even heard of the word ‘circus’ but because of the kind gestures of sponsors they were able to see it with their own eyes.
The circus experience helped the children also in their learning journey because it was so insightful and thought provoking. At the same time, they were quite relaxed and happy because there was also singing and dancing. Overall, the circus was one of the most enjoyable experiences they ever had. The event ended at 11pm.
